The team behind the Hungries
On a hot summer morning of 2005, the Chupacabras team (friends Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, Dana Gordon and Alejandro Zamudio Sánchez) was presented with a most frightening brief: to design a toy to enable novel play experiences. Actually, it doesn’t sound that scary now, but it did feel daunting at the time, go figure.
Anyway, of all possible dystopian futures, the Chupacabras miraculously managed to give birth to the Hungries, culminating a fast-paced and exciting design process plagued with undead toys, girls’ accessories and many other happy monstrosities. Now, after a long hibernating season, the Hungries are coming back to life.
The Chupacabras are interested in showcase/business opportunities as well as continue the development and physical prototyping of the self-recursive creatures. All enquiries whether commercial, academic or just out of curiosity are welcome at:
